Last updated November 5, 2026. Detour is made by Triskelion Enterprises (“we”).

The Detour app collects nothing

The app has no account, no analytics, no advertising and no server. It doesn’t send anything over the internet, and we can’t see how you use it.

The apps you choose to pause are picked in Apple’s own Screen Time picker. Apple gives Detour only opaque tokens for them, not app names, so Detour itself never learns which apps you chose. The tokens stay on your iPhone.
Simple daily counts (pauses, resets and opens) are kept on your iPhone to show your stats, and nowhere else.
Screen Time permission lets Detour pause the apps you picked on your own iPhone. There is no parent, child or family monitoring.
One local notification is used when you choose a reset, so it can open straight into Detour. It is created on your iPhone and isn’t a push message from us.
Purchases (Detour Plus) are handled by Apple. We receive no payment or personal details, only Apple’s standard anonymous sales reports.

Deleting the app deletes everything it stored.

The waitlist. If you leave your email, we store it (plus whether you’d like to test the beta and when you signed up) on Amazon Web Services in the United States. We use it only to tell you when Detour is available and, if you ticked the box, to invite you to the beta. We never sell or share it, and we don’t send newsletters or anything unrelated to Detour.
No tracking. The site uses no cookies, analytics or third-party scripts. Like any website, our hosting provider handles standard request data (such as IP addresses) to deliver pages and stop abuse.
Removing your email. Write to detour@triskelionenterprises.com and we’ll delete it. Every email we send will also have a one-click unsubscribe link.

If you write to us, we use your message only to answer you.

Detour isn’t directed at children under 13, and the waitlist isn’t for them.

If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and its date. Questions: detour@triskelionenterprises.com.
